Inspired by the circular skirt tutorial I did a couple of weeks ago, you can use the same technique here to upcycle a large tee-shirt into a cute peplum top.  Get the seasonal hit silhouette for 3$ :)

Material needed:

  • XL tee-shirt
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape and sewing machine

Hello Ari (or shall I say bonjour?) First of all, where in the world do you come up with all these great ideas? You have a new never-before-seen creative idea like every week!

In regards to the peplum top, I tried to make this out of a long shift shirt I had from waay waay back, but it was smaller, so um, my circle for the bottom part turned out to be more of an oval. I’m cheap, so I skipped purchasing a thrift man’s shirt. Ooops. Well, I guess it turned out alright… I was able to sew back on the sleeves to the top and cut out the neckline to make it more modern. I also top stitched and sewed the raw edges over. But that’s not the point. Your tutorial was excellent. Thanks so much for the amount of time and effort you put into making and filming and designing these projects. I hope your hard work does not go unnoticed.
