How to wear; lingerie & lace

Do you own an embroidered lace dress or a lingerie slip but never wore it because you’re not too sure how to properly style it? Lace is definitely very romantic and feminine, but can sometimes be hard to wear. So I’ve picked out Boat People’s Diadème Flapper Dress and, along with model Patricia Preda, styled it to give you an idea of what you can do with these babies!

1. Find the right slip to wear underneath. For maxi dresses, use an above the knee slip to make it more casual. For shorter dresses, anything goes as long your slip doesn’t stick out. You can also get creative with the slip’s color you choose.

2. Layer up with fur, suede or more crochet (just think of Penny Lane from Almost Famous!) or keep it casual with denim or leather.  Hint; as cliché as it can be, lace IS beautiful with pearls.

3. Accessorize from head to toes!
