Visual spells with Laura Makabresku

Dark rituals.

Rare are the ones who manage to combine the beautiful with the macabre. Laura Makabresku sure knows how to create the full illusion. In an atmosphere of fairy tales, her photographs are overflown with mystic symbols dealing with eroticism and death. Laura seems to exist in the same ambiguous universe as artists like Timber Timbre, William Faulkner and Edgar Allan Poe. A dreamlike dark forested realm where the morbid meets the fantastic, the evil – the innocent and reality – the dream.

I met her again: my quiet, fragile being with her body so transparent as if it was made of ice. I took her to the woods, undressed her and watched how strongly she reminds me of my own fear.

Unfinished story.

We are so lonely here, on an august moon. We are falling asleep hidden in a graves covered with cold flowers. We are waiting for a comet to arise.

She's hanging here for so long. Silver foxes are running on the floor.

It was cold, winter morning. I observed through the window how she got out of the cab. I opened the door and for the first time I saw her gentle eyesight - eyes cold as they were a frozen ocean. Then I allowed her sleepy body to lay down on my bed.

please, don`t die.

it is the fox who cares about girl's soul. she died in the woods and now her flesh is overgrown by moss.

she is dead now, but you can still feel her in fairy tales

love letter

fairy tale about a girl who found dead animal in the forest and shared it with her warmth

New Year’s giftables: marzipan stuffed dates

Posted by on 30 décembre 2012 in DIY - Do It Yourself! | No Comments

Looking for an easy to make-last minute hostess gift? Here’s an idea: marzipan stuffed dates. They are delicious, 100% natural and require two ingredients only. All you need to do is remove the pits from the Medjool dates (make a lateral cut) and then replace them by marzipan. As simple as that. And if you’re looking for something a little less sweet, you can always replace the marzipan by Mascarpone cheese. Et voilà! Sometimes less is more so don’t over think on what hostess gifts to give and keep it simple!
