I’m seeing that some websites require you to mix the 1 part bleach to 1 part water. Of course they tell you to leave the shorts in the bleach longer but some websites say that dipping your jeans in pure bleach could burn holes in them. Is dipping them in pure bleach okay or should I mix it with water?

I would say read the label on your bleach bottle first. We dipped ours straight in bleach and everything turned out fine. But to be safe, maybe try a watered down mixture first and see how you like it, if not adjust and add some more bleach :)

Thanks for the tips! I decided to just dip the jeans in pure bleach and they turned out perfect. Thanks for this tutorial, my shorts look AMAZING!
